My Girls

The Girls have been here a little over a week now, and are doing very well. They seemed to take to Doug very quickly -their previous shepherd was a man. I've been able to feed three of the four out of my hand now. The shy one is my little badger face lamb, Anemarie, and she gets a bit closer every day. I love them all dearly, and you can see what happened when I set the snack bucket down to take a photo.

Their fiber is wonderful. I've spun up a little skein of a couple of them so far, and it's next-to-skin soft. They're CVM (a variation of Romeldale), a rare breed. While I don't aspire to shepherd a huge herd, I do hope that the breed will become more familiar to spinners & knitters. It's scrumptious. And The Girls are a delight.
